Education B.S. in Biology from Southern Connecticut University Masters in Science Education from University of New Haven Hobbies Love to travel! Countries in which I have done Earthwatch Projects: Sloth Bears in Nepal; Road Verges in Australia; Pangolins in Zimbabwe - also Rhino project there; Golden Bamboo Lemurs in Madagascar; Cheetah in Nambia; Polar Bears in Canada; Migratory birds in Alaska; People project in Russia; Peccaries in Pantanal in Brazil; Orangutans in Indonesia; and Wildlife Inventory in South Africa. I have also been on a 2 week camel trek out of Alice Springs, Australia; a 2 week boat trip in the Galapagos; Borneo to meet and visit with Dr. Galdikas and see her orangutan rehab facilities; a trip to Rinchon and Komodo Islands, Indonesia, to see komodo dragons; a week long class in Hawaii to learn about volcanoes; an educators trip to Cuba; and a 5 day trip to explore student activities in Costa Rica. I also love animals and am active in Pups without Partners - a greyhound rescue group, and have been a volunteer at the Bronx Zoo for the past 18 years. |
